Blame it on the glass
A new STUDY shows that the shape of a beer glass effects how fast a person drinks the tasty beverage. So all you binge drinking alcoholics out there...it's not you. Just switch to a straight glass. problem solved!

I love when TV hosts lose their $HIt while on the air.
...Check out these gadgets that could simplify your life. Some are a little pricey IMO, but I wish I had some of these while I attended college.
I have heard of some pretty crazy medical conditions in my day...but when I heard Rosanna Scotto talking about this on :Good Day New York:, I started laughing hysterically. Did this lady fake one too many orgasms? Is this her punishment? You be the judge...
I like to keep up on the Rye, NY news. It is where I was born and raised, and many of my friends still live in the area.
Lance Armstrong. The name stirs memories of national pride, athletic domination, as well as a inspirational victory over cancer. But now he has admitted to doping. In my opinion, this does NOT tarnish his reputation as a leader in the fight against cancer. He chose to form a charity that has pumped millions and millions of dollars into cancer research and I will always applaud that. Think of how many athletes these days, IE baseball players, who make hundreds of millions on their contracts, and do not start any charities.
I just read the following article about a proposal to build an ice sports center in the bronx. I think this is an incredible idea. Aside from making sports like figure skating and ice hockey more accessible, future prospects such as a local hockey team are really exciting. Spread the word and help support the KNIC!
I have a Drew Brees helmet and jersey for sale. Both were signed by Drew in front of my friend Kevin. They will each come with a letter of certification. This is a continuation of my last post featuring the artists that fill our ears with music in the subways of NYC. Danny Small is one of them and I am in love with his voice. He said in one video that he used to sing with his band for former mob boss, John Gotti. I actually believe it because he sounds so good. Here are a couple more videos of the "Singing Dragon" also known as Danny Small singing My Girl, Lonely Teardrops, Crazy Love, Soul Man, Stand By Me, & These Arms Of Mine.
Most of the time I take the train to concerts in the city. On a few occasions I have heard better music on the way to the concert than I did at the show. One time a bunch of us were on the 1 train going to a Disco Biscuits show and this a-Capella group came on and started singing some Motown hits and of the two groups I saw that night they were def the best. I read an article today that featured a couple subway musicians and it gave me the idea to search for more on youtube. So here are a few that I have found that are amazing. There are only so many videos that I can post so I suggest if you get a little bored find your own. Some of the best NYC artists are singing in the subways.
I have always been a fan of nuts. Especially when they are salty. Nothing better than a mouth full of salty nuts...
From the title you are probably trying to guess what I am talking about. It's a brand spankin' new website that helps people find rides all around the country. I think it is a great idea, especially for my generation, with a thirst for travel that can never be quenched. Here is the description from their website:
A new and frightening addiction is sweeping across the nation. At first, it may seem harmless, but long term abuse of hot sauce can cause permanent mental and physical harm.
According to this article, blindness should be a thing of the past within 20 years. I really hope that he is right.
Most men have not read the magazine Cosmopolitan, but I can almost guarantee it has affected their sex lives. The magazine covers such risque topics as oral sex tips, toys for the bedroom, and sexy role play costumes.
deliciousness!
NBC has paid billions of dollars to cover the Olympics and in doing so has the right to protect their investment. With that said if you were to go to any other station for highlights of the events that occurred all you will get is a long article accompanied by a still image of said events. This is frustrating not just because NBC's coverage is so limited but also if you miss an event you are pretty much screwed. Broadcasters in Australia got so fed up with airing still images that they decided to breakout a lego set to show their audience how Australian Sally Pearson won gold in the 100 meter hurdle race. I think it is brilliant.
I still remember the first time I heard Mitch Hedberg perform. HBO was having a series called Young Comedians that featured my current favorites Bill Burr and Louie CK. They had an episode once every week and I would go over to Andrews and we would involuntarily cry the jokes were so funny. All 3 were great but I just fell in love with Mitch. I went to the Huffingpost today and saw a series called Modern Comedian and Episode 4 is all about Mitch through the eyes of his widow and fellow comedian Lynn Shawcraft. He passed away in 2005 at the age of 37 and he is still missed.
I read an article this morning about a young lady who is fighting two types of cancer. I didn't understand how bad her situation was until watching the following video.
apparently, 1 in 5 pregnant women suffers from severe depression. Well I hate to keep reiterating the same thing time after time ...but yoga helps again.
at least in our hearts and minds. But it has not been played at a specific venue in years.
The Bronx is home to some fantastic cultural and recreational centers. The Bronx Zoo, Yankee stadium, the Botanical Gardens, Wave Hill, Van Cortland Park....and now there is going to be another.
I thought I would borrowed from Jeff Foxworthy's formula, and apply it to my situation...
