Since going blind I really miss the ability to play video games. They are not something I would play all the time, but when titles like Grand Theft Auto 4 and Modern Warfare came out I would put in my fair share of playing time.
One game that actually worked for me as a blind person was Wii sports bowling. Although I needed help having my score read to me, it was a fun, social, physical, and competitive activity that I could participate in right in my own living room. It is also extremely easy to learn so people were often willing to bowl around, even if they had never played before.
Now I have just read the following article about a new yoga game for the Xbox 360 Kinect. I don't own an Xbox, but if they are starting to develop blind accessible games, it may be worth purchasing if the library grows.
